The Good Faith Exam (GFE)

A Good Faith Exam is a required medical evaluation by a licensed provider (Physician, NP, or PA) via Telehealth. This ensures your treatment is safe and medically appropriate for you.

Purpose of the Exam

  • Ensures treatments are safe based on your health status
  • Personalized to your medical history and medications
  • Identification of contraindications to prevent complications
  • Creation of a customized treatment plan

What is included?

  • Review of full medical history and allergies
  • Discussion of health concerns or changes
  • Visual assessment via video call
  • Official eligibility determination

Duration

Usually brief, approximately 10 minutes.

Operating Hours

Telehealth operations are available from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.

Timing

Must be completed prior to mobile or in-suite services. (In some cases, GFE Telehealth clearance can be done at the suite prior to treatment).

Annual Medical Oversight Fee

$39

Covers your required exam and medical supervision for a full year.

One fee per year — no matter how many treatments you receive. This ensures safety and compliance with NY regulations.
