The Good Faith Exam (GFE)

A Good Faith Exam is a required medical evaluation by a licensed provider (Physician, NP, or PA) via Telehealth. This ensures your treatment is safe and medically appropriate for you.

Purpose of the Exam

Ensures treatments are safe based on your health status
Personalized to your medical history and medications
Identification of contraindications to prevent complications
Creation of a customized treatment plan

What is included?

Review of full medical history and allergies
Discussion of health concerns or changes
Visual assessment via video call
Official eligibility determination

Duration

Usually brief, approximately 10 minutes.

Operating Hours

Telehealth operations are available from 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM.

Timing

Must be completed prior to mobile or in-suite services. (In some cases, GFE Telehealth clearance can be done at the suite prior to treatment).

Annual Medical Oversight Fee

$39

Covers your required exam and medical supervision for a full year.

One fee per year — no matter how many treatments you receive. This ensures safety and compliance with NY regulations.
